Funeral services for Wells High School student announced

Kelsi Redd, 15, passed away Saturday in Houston. She spent her time in softball, cheerleading, student council, and FFA, where she served as an officer.

WELLS, Texas — Funeral services for a Wells High School student will be held Thursday afternoon. 

Kelsi Redd, 15, passed away Saturday in Houston. She spent her time in softball, cheerleading, student council, and FFA, where she served as an officer. She enjoyed spending time with her loving boyfriend, Cody. She attended Calvary Baptist Church inWells, according to her obituary. 

"She could light up any room and left a lasting impact on anyone that she ever crossed paths with," the obituary reads. "Kelsi was beautiful inside and out and will be missed by so many who loved her dearly! Live like Kelsi!!"

The service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Wells High School with Bro. Vergil Morgan and Principal Friday Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Hester Cemetery in Wells.

In a statement issued Saturday, Wells ISD asked people to keep family, friends, teachers and community members who knew and loved Kelsi in their thoughts and prayers.
