TYLER, Texas — After a mild weekend, that East Texas heat we all love (sarcasm), will return to kick off the work week.
The heat dome returns for much of the central and southern plains which will send heat index values into the triple-digits and trigger CBS19 Weather Impact Alert Days for Monday-Wednesday.
According to the CBS19 Weather Experts, we might see some heat advisories issued July 15-17. Make sure to try to limit your time outdoors and drink plenty of water if you have to be outside for an extended period of time.
Another summer cold front arrives Thursday bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms back to East Texas, followed by some slightly cooler temperatures.
