LONGVIEW, Texas — Voters within Pine Tree ISD have passed a bond to address security and athletic facility upgrades among other updates.
The $55 million bond will fund the following projects:
- Parkway Elementary School additions and renovations
- Birch Elementary School renovations
- Pine Tree Junior High additions and renovations
- Addition of career and technical education facility, and renovations to Pine Tree High School
- New Pine Tree High School baseball facility
The bond package is considered Phase I of a 10-year master plan for Pine Tree ISD.
There will be a tax increase of $0.1684. However, there is no tax increase on homesteads for those with a 65 Homestead Exemption.
