TYLER, Texas — Organizations in Tyler are preparing for the first day of school by offering vaccinations for students this weekend.
Beginning Aug. 3, three back-to-school vaccine opportunities are being offered by members of the Northeast Texas Immunizations Coalition:
- Fuzion’s Back to School Event at Green Acres Baptist Church from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Chapel Hill ISD Back to School Expo from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- North Tenneha Church of Christ at the 1701 North Tenneha in Tyler from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
NTIC also advised families that already have a primary care physician to make necessary arrangements to ensure their child's vaccine records are updated in time for their first day of school. The organization provided the list below for families without a primary care provider to update their children's shot records:
- NET Health Immunizations Clinic at 815 North Broadway Avenue in Tyler
- Mondays thru Fridays from 8am - 11am and 1pm - 4pm
- Open until 6pm on Wednesdays
- No appointment necessary. Walkins are welcome and encouraged!
