Some East Texas school districts are canceling or delaying classes for Wednesday due to flooded roadways.
According to Union Grove ISD, they are delaying classes until 10 a.m., due to hazardous road conditions. Buses will run at 9 a.m.
Kerens ISD has canceled school for Wednesday due to flooding road conditions.
Tyler ISD says some buses are encountering flooded roads and are having to try alternative routes. This may cause some buses to run late.
According to Union Hill ISD, school will be starting on time but some buses may be running behind due to flooded roads. Some students may be picked up by a different bus than they normally ride.
Quitman ISD is reporting some buses may be running a few minutes behind due to the weather. The district received a report that one bus was not able to cross a bridge in the Clear Lakes area. QISD is reaching out to any students that may be impacted by this.
Pewitt Consolidated Independent School District has canceled classes for the elementary school due to a blown transformer. Elementary buses are being rerouted to the high school gym, where parents are asked to pick up their children. Only the elementary school is affected.
