TYLER, Texas — A Tyler woman has been arrested after she reportedly confessed to shooting her husband Tuesday morning.
According to Tyler police, around 7:44 a.m. officers responded to a shooting at 617 Maxwell Drive.
Police were told by a woman at the residence, identified as Debbie Ann Bryant, 55, her husband had been shot.
Officers found Allen Ferguson, 58, with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported by EMS to UT Health and is in critical condition.
On Friday, police said Ferguson died as result of his injuries.
Bryant was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Smith County Jail.
According to police, that charge has now been upgraded to murder.
She remains in the Smith County Jail on $250,000 bond.
