TYLER - A Tyler Police officer, and the driver of another vehicle suffered minor injuries in a crash Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of E. Grande Blvd.
Tyler Police Officer Tom Whitworth was investigating an accident in the 700 block of E. Grande Blvd.
Officer Whitworth was sitting in his patrol vehicle with emergency lights activated completing paperwork, when he was struck from behind by a 2013, White Toyota Corolla, driven by Tracey Marble, age 22, of Tyler.
Both Officer Whitworth and Marble were transported to East Texas Medical Center with minor injuries.
Officer Whitworth was released from the hospital after being checked out and Marble still remains in the hospital.
