TYLER, Texas — The city of Tyler will launch it's second MicroTransit route for Campus Connector routes to aid existing fixed route services, according to a press release from the city of Tyler.
Riders on the Campus Connect route will have the option to book a ride by contacting Tyler Transit at (903) 533-8057 from a bus stop starting June 17. The ride will take them directly to any destination within three-tenths of a mile of the closest bus stop on an existing Campus Connector route.
The MicroTransit service is available Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Riders still have the option to connect to Fixed Routes if needed.
The cost of MicroTransit services are the same as Fixed Route fares, costing $1 per ride.
The city of Tyler launched their MicroTransit services in May in an effort to improve the riding experience of customers and create more efficient public transportation. More information can be found here.
