TYLER, Texas — Tyler Gives and the United Way of Smith County are teaming up for this year's Giving Tuesday to help area nonprofits.
The group Tyler Gives said it has vetted the needs of participating agencies by spending countless hours reviewing financial records and speaking with their leaders. Tyler Gives' focus this year is improving local education, access to healthcare, financial stability and crisis intervention.
The United Way of Smith County is offering a $75,000 matching grant. All of the proceeds will stay local and go toward the participating nonprofits. The first $75,000 will be matched starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
