Tyler apartment fire causes damage to unit, no injuries

As of 10:47 p.m. the fire was contained according to Tyler Fire Marshal Joey Hooten.

TYLER, Texas — Tyler Fire responded to an two-alarm apartment fire on Friday night that caused extensive damage to a unit.

According to Tyler Fire Marshal Joey Hooten, crews responded to 5600 Old Bullard Road at 10:20 p.m. on Friday after flames were reportedly coming through the roof.

The two-alarm fire began around the fireplace and quickly spread through the unit. As crews were extinguishing the flames, the unit underneath suffered water damage.

The family that was living in the unit is temporarily displaced with no reported injuries.

As of 10:47 p.m. the fire was contained, according to Hooten.
