PAYNE SPRINGS, Texas — A house fire in Payne Springs killed two cats and damaged a mobile home overnight.
Payne Springs Fire Rescue said responders were alerted to a fire on Joyce Street around midnight Thursday. When they arrived, they saw a neighbor attempting to contain the fire with a garden hose.
Eustace Engine arrived to the scene along with PSFR to extinguish the fire. Two cats were killed in the fire, and no injuries were reported.
