TROUP, Texas — The city of Troup rescinded a boil water notice issued for some residents following a water main break.
A boil water notice issued on Thursday has been rescinded by the Troup Public Water System. Gene Cottle, the Troup city manager, said the water system has taken corrective actions to restore the quality of water and has provided the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with lab test results indicating the water no longer needs to be boiled as of Saturday.
TCEQ advised residents of Troup living in the following areas on Thursday to boil their water before consumption:
- South of the 100 to 200 blocks of W. Calvert St.
- South of the 100 to 1000 blocks of E. Duval St.
- East of the 200 to 600 blocks of S. Front St.
