TYLER, Texas — The Tyler Fire Department says two children remain hospitalized following a deadly house fire Friday night.
On Sunday afternoon, Tyler Fire Department Public Information Officer Paul Findley confirmed a 60-year-old female died at a Dallas-area hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the fire.
On Saturday, Findley reported child and a 40-year-old man had also passed away.
During a Monday afternoon press conference Monday, the TFD reported two juveniles are still in the ICU at a Fort Worth hospital.
The cause of the fire has not been released. However, Findley did say the fire was contained to one room.
Investigators do not believe foul play was involved, Rather, this was a tragic accident.
Around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, crews responded to the 1800 block of North Grand Avenue on reports of a residential structure fire.
When first responders entered the house, they found five occupants trapped inside.
No firefighters were injured during in the blaze and the scene was clear at roughly 11:30 p.m.
