TYLER, Texas — One person is dead and another was injured following a crash that occurred at the intersection of Old Jacksonville Hwy. and Toll 49 on Friday.
Northbound lanes on Old Jacksonville Hwy. were blocked to through traffic as police and fire crews responded to the scene of a crash between a Jeep and an SUV that resulted in the Jeep rolling over and ejecting the driver.
A spokesperson from Smith County Emergency Service District 2 confirmed that the driver of the Jeep was killed. The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
