KILGORE, Texas — A threat made against school busses in Kilgore ISD was deemed false by officials.
Andy Baker, the Superintendent of Kilgore ISD, said a threat was made by an adolescent student who reported they had a weapon. Kilgore Police and Gregg County Sheriff's Office responded and were able to verify that the report was false and that no danger was posed to students.
Chief Johnathan Gage with Kilgore PD said an arrest was made in the incident.
"The safety of our students and staff continues to be our highest priority and we share our community's concern and frustration on how emotional and disruptive this type of false report is to our students, schools, and community," Baker said.
