TYLER, Texas — Therapet gave nearly 1,200 pounds of dog and cat food to Meals on Wheels East Texas last week in celebration of its 10th year of giving to the nonprofit.
The donation was made on Thursday at Tractor Supply Co. in Tyler to mark the 10th anniversary of Therapet’s generous pet food donations for Meals on Wheels clients and their pets.
This gift helps the Meals on Wheels Fur Pets program, which seeks to help Meals on Wheels clients have pet food so they won't have to give their meals to their pets. Meals on Wheels serves frozen meals to seniors in Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Henderson and Upshur counties.
The donation was gathered through Therapet’s Christmas party. Therapet gave a pallet of dog food purchased from Tractor Supply in Tyler along with a carload of donations.
