TYLER, Texas — A popular East Texas restaurant announced Sunday they are closing their doors after five years.
A spokesperson for The Dinner Table in Tyler announced on Facebook that the restaurant will be closing. The restaurant will be open from noon - 6 p.m. until Friday or until they sell out of food. They added that purchases must be made in cash only and they will not be taking orders online or over the phone.
The business said they have struggled to stay ahead of the rising costs of rent, utilities, insurance, goods and services.
"Small business is a hard business," The Dinner Table posted on Facebook. "You know this, but it’s worth saying again–support your local business. None of them are sitting on a yacht counting their money. They are working alongside their employees and then working many nights and weekends too. They pour their life into their work because it’s not just about the money. But they need the money too…"
