LONGVIEW, Texas — The East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance is hosting its 7th annual Barrels & Brews Festival Saturday at the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview.
The event, formerly known as the Longview Wine Festival, will bring in ten wineries, 2 breweries, art and live music. A food truck will also attend.
“Attendees can expect to taste wines from all over Texas," East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance Executive Director Beth Godsey said. "The anticipated beautiful weather will set the mood perfectly.”
The event is kid friendly, and free to shop for guests. Funds from the event will benefit the East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance.
The East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance is an independent non-profit organization from Longview that focuses on taking care of Alzheimer caretakers. They offer support groups and workshops for those in the field, and educate the public on the realities of mental illnesses and abnormal aging.
