AUSTIN, Texas — The "One Pill Kills" multimedia campaign has accumulated over 1.5 billion impressions across all platforms since it's start in April 2023, according to a Thursday announcement from Gov. Greg Abbott.
"Fentanyl is the single deadliest drug crisis our state—and our nation—has ever encountered," Abbott said. “As part of our ‘One Pill Kills’ campaign, I announced last year a statewide multimedia initiative to educate Texans on the dangers of fentanyl and raise awareness to help save lives."
The campaign features videos, billboards and social media posts warning the public of the dangers of fentanyl.
“We can save lives by educating people about the risks of fentanyl and the fact that even one pill can kill,” HHSC Deputy Executive Commissioner of Behavioral Health Services. Trina Ita said. “Our goal is to prevent fentanyl poisonings and keep families from losing loved ones.”
