TYLER, Texas — The Texas African American Museum celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day during the grand opening of its new location in North Tyler.
The Democratic Club of Smith County presented the museum with a donation of $500.
The check was given to help with their fundraising efforts to continue remodeling and improving the museum.
The museum is hoping to raise $1 million to complete the project.
The museum is located at 309 W Martin Luther King Blvd. Admission is free.
