TYLER, Texas — A teenager has been arrested for the fatal shooting of another teen in early August.
According to the Tyler Police Department, around 11:40 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 10, officers responded to the 400 block of Lorance St. on reports of a shooting.
Police say the 17-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Following an investigation, the TPD arrested a 16-year-old boy for the shooting. He was charged with manslaughter and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
On Thursday, Aug. 15, the teen was booked into the Smith County Juvenile Attention Center in Tyler.
