BOWIE COUNTY, Texas — A 14-year-old girl may break a state record after she took down a huge buck on land in East Texas.
Reili Brewer, of Avery, shot and killed the buck on Sunday, Oct. 29 on the Red River Army Depot land near Texarkana. Her successful kill comes after years of going deer hunting with her dad, who shared the win on his Facebook.
Her dad Rickey Brewer II said the deer is 31 points, 29 scoreable. The official score has not yet been determined, and they're waiting to see if it's a state record.
