LONGVIEW, Texas — A teenager is dead and one person is behind bars following a Wednesday afternoon shooting in Longview.
According to the Longview Police Department, officials responded to reports of a shooting around 3:45 p.m., in the 1200 block of Scenic Drive.
Police say 17-year-old Bryan Rivera, of Longview, had been shot and was suffering from life-threatening injuries. He later died at a local hospital.
The LPD identified the alleged shooter as Eduardo Serano, 19, also of Longview. Serano was arrested Thursday afternoon for criminally negligent homicide and was booked into the Gregg County Jail.
