14-year-old boy dies after being thrown out of SUV that was doing donuts, BCSO says

The 17-year-old driver is facing charges of manslaughter and injury to a child.

SAN ANTONIO — Bexar County deputies say there was a total of six teens inside a vehicle doing donuts when the driver lost control of the SUV.

The incident happened at around 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning off Zigmont Road near F.M. 1346 & 1604 in east Bexar County.

Deputies say the teens were driving on private property when the driver began doing donuts, somehow lost control and ended up flipping the SUV over.

A 14-year-old was thrown out of the SUV, and deputies say he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators say there were five other teens inside the vehicle including the driver, Daniel Krupalla, 17, two more 17-year-olds, and two other 14-year-olds.

Deputies are not releasing the name of the teenager who died because he is a juvenile and according to deputies, the 17-year-old driver was arrested.

Deputies say the 17-year-old driver now faces charges of manslaughter and injury to a child.
