Teen accused of evading police, crashing into 2 buildings in Longview arrested

Police said no one was injured in the crash.

LONGVIEW, Texas — A 18-year-old man accused of leading police on a chase and crashing into two buildings in Longview early Tuesday morning was arrested. 

According to the Longview Police Department, officers responded to a call in the 1300 block of Lawndale Street around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday. Officers saw a stolen vehicle at the address and a police chase ensued. The pursuit then ended when the car crashed into a vacant building after striking a home too.  

Police said no one was injured in the crash. 

Xavier Tennison was identified as the suspect and was booked into the Gregg County Jail on the following charges: evading arrest with a vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unauthorized use of a vehicle and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
