TATUM, Texas — Tatum ISD sent a notice out to parents Wednesday after alarm was raised by a student bringing a toy gun onto a bus.
"Please take a moment to talk with your child about the importance of not bringing prohibited items to school or the bus," Tatum ISD said in a Facebook post. "It's crucial for their safety and the safety of their peers."
The bus driver acted quickly to remove the toy, and no students were harmed in the incident.
"We will continue to monitor behavior and work collaboratively with all parents to ensure the safety of our students." Tatum ISD said.
