LONGVIEW, Texas — SWEPCO said in a statement Tuesday evening that most of its East Texas customers should expect to see their power restored by Wednesday night.
According to an update from SWEPCO, as 7 p.m. Tuesday, SWEPCO has restored power to about 36,000 customers after the impacts of Tropical Storm Beryl. The storm left behind damaged roofs, downed trees and snapped power lines across SWEPCO's Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana coverage area.
SWEPCO released the following estimated times of restoration Tuesday night:
10 p.m. Tuesday, July 9
- Henderson
- Kilgore
- Mineola
10 p.m. Wednesday, July 10
- Carthage
- Gilmer
- Gladewater
- Longview
- Marshall
Thursday, July 11 at midnight
- Mt. Pleasant

The peak number of SWEPCO customers without power because of Beryl was 48,831 at 11 p.m. Monday. The National Weather Service in Shreveport reported a record-breaking 67 tornado warnings as Beryl moved through the East Texas area.
