LONGVIEW — Patrick Anthony Brandon, Jr., a 31-year-old Houston man, was arrested just after 2 a.m. Thursday in connection to the robbery at Regions Bank on Tuesday.
According to authorities, when officers arrived to the scene of that robbery, they were told that a black man came into the bank, robbed it and left in a silver 4-door passenger car.

The Longview Police Department said that Brandon was stopped for running a stop sign while driving a grey four door Toyota Camry.
Brandon was arrested after the officer who made the stop smelled marijuana coming from the car and saw marijuana in the car.
More drugs along with a gun and a large amount of cash were found in the vehicle after it was searched.
The detective assigned to the robbery at Regions Bank was called and helped with the investigation.
Based on the clothing, cash, and demand letter that authorities found, the detective determined that Brandon was the suspect in the robbery at Regions Bank.
Initially, Brandon was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Authorities had issued a warrant for aggravated robbery in connection to the Regions Bank case, and Brandon is currently in jail on this charge with a $500,000 bond.
