LONGVIEW, Texas — In Gregg County court documents from 2015, Reza Kamali admitted he was angry at his ex-daughter-in-law but denied being the person who slit her tires multiple times over several years.
Kamali, 87, is charged with arranging Ron Horaney's Memorial Day murder in 2016 at Horaney's home just outside Longview.
He pleaded no contest in January 2016 to a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief for slashing a tire on her vehicle while it was parked at his grandson's school on April 24, 2015. He received deferred adjudication and was sentenced to a year of probation, court documents show.
