A suspect in a January 2016 stabbing murder pleaded guilty in the 71st District Court Monday afternoon.
Tyler Nankervis, 22, of Marshall pleaded guilty to the stabbing murder of Melinda Billingsley, 50, of Marshall.
A judge sentenced Nankervis to 51 years in prison, and will not have the right to appeal his sentence.
Billingsley's family was present during the court proceedings; her son presented a victim's impact statement.
