Some Lindale residents under boil water notice

According to officials, due to subdivision construction on Allison Ln., a contractor shut off the water main to install a new line.

LINDALE, Texas — Some Lindale residents have been placed under a boil water notice, the city announced Tuesday morning.

According to officials, due to subdivision construction on Allison Ln., a contractor shut off the water main to install a new line.

"The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Lindale public water system to notify all customers on Allison Ln. only to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc)," the city said.

According to city officials, when it's not longer necessary for the affected residents to boil water, customers will be notified.

"Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice," the city said.

If you have questions regarding the notice, contact the city of Lindale at (903) 882-4948.
