Smith County announces restoration of judicial site

The site has been down since September.

SMITH COUNTY, Texas — Smith County announced Monday, it's judicial search site is back in operation after being down since Sept. 20.

“The site has been down for several weeks, and during that time, we have had employees working every day, including nights and weekends, to rebuild the site that has become so helpful to so many people,” Smith County Judge Neal Franklin said.

The site provides the public with information on court and jail records electronically.

“In the last 10 years, this is the first extended outage that we’ve had for the self-service public access tool. This outage shows the importance of this service and why it is needed,” Judge Franklin said. “We understand it has been an inconvenience, but the district clerk, county clerk and jail staffs have been providing the information when requested.”
