A missing elderly woman from Whitehouse has been found safe.
Mildred Hightower, 83, was reported missing Monday. A Silver Alert was issued on Tuesday.
Whitehouse police say Hightower was later found driving around in her car in Carthage.
Authorities do not believe Hightower knew where she was or where she was going.
The Silver Alert has been canceled, and police said her children are on the way to pick her up and take her home.
