LONGVIEW, Texas — Longview police officers seized a significant amount of illegal narcotics, including meth and cocaine, while serving a warrant at a motel room last week.
According to the Longview Police Department, on April 4, the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Longview Police Special Investigation Apprehension Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, helped the US Marshals Service with a warrant at the Knights Inn, located at 3103 Estes Parkway.
US Marshals arrested Derek Elam for an active warrant. Officers then found 108 grams of methamphetamines, 43 grams of Xanax, eight grams of cocaine, two grams of hydrocodone, seven grams of ecstasy, seven grams of marijuana, and 422 grams of counterfeit Adderall which police believe to be meth.
