RUSK COUNTY, Texas — One man has been arrested and charged with a felony for possessing drugs and a firearm in Rusk County.
On Oct. 10, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant for controlled substances at 9669 Hwy. 64 in Henderson.
Officials were able to recover meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a short barrel firearm at the location.
Joel Gibbs Jr., 47, of Henderson was arrested on the scene and was charged with felony P.O.C.S. Penalty Group 1, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Gibbs currently has a bond totaling $80,000 and is placed in Rusk County Jail.
