SHERIFF: East Texas man arrested for allegedly stealing ATV, guns, grill in Titus County

Upon discovery of the alleged stolen property, officials arrested Troy Lynn Blackwell, 50, of Titus County for committing the crimes.

TITUS COUNTY, Texas — One man has been arrested on Friday by the Titus County Sheriff's Office for allegedly burglarizing a hunting camp and stealing an ATV, guns, archery equipment and a grill on June 11.

Titus County Investigators unveiled that two other people assisted in the burglary near County Road 1905 and Sulphur River by using another ATV.

In an effort to develop a lead in the stolen property, one individual provided information to investigators that led them to discover the stolen property. 

Upon discovery of the alleged stolen property, officials arrested Troy Lynn Blackwell, 50, of Titus County for committing the crimes.

Blackwell was arrested on Friday after obtaining a warrant at his residence on CR 1905 without incident.

An investigation regarding the other individuals involved in the burglary is still ongoing.

Blackwell is currently held at the Titus County Jail for offenses of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and third degree felony burglary of a building.
