SHELBY COUNTY, Texas — A Shelby County Jail inmate died early Wednesday morning.
Shelby County Sheriff Kevin W. Windham said James Jackson, 60, of Center, died while in custody around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation, the sheriff's office said. No other information will be released at this time.
