WOOD COUNTY, Texas — A controlled burn training is expected to be in effect until next Monday in Wood County, fire officials noted in a press release.
According to the Wood County Fire Marshal Tully Davidson, they will be partnering with Mill Creek Farm to conduct a controlled burn in the Holly Lake Ranch area in Wood County through Monday, Feb. 26.
Several fire agencies from across the Lone Star state will be participating in a variety of incident management and wildlife firefighting training exercises.
Smoke is expected to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and be visible until Monday, Feb. 26 in the affected area.
