Seven women honored at Women in Tyler's annual luncheon

This year’s theme is “Women Making Connections,” recognizing women who have contributed to the quality of life in the community.

TYLER, Texas — The Women In Tyler Committee hosted its annual luncheon at the Tyler Rose Garden Center on Thursday to recognize and celebrate seven women who made significant contributions to the community.

This year’s theme is “Women Making Connections,” recognizing women who have contributed to the quality of life in the community. Whether it’s working directly with the homeless community or youth through social services or using art or ministry, the honorees were recognized for connecting with the community in a variety of ways.

“Since this is National Women’s (History) Month, we love to celebrate women,” said co-chair Tracy Dews. “And we have seven amazing women this year who have given their resources, their time to connect people… with government entities, with the arts and literature and even helping us get our lives together with Christ. We just have some amazing women and we’re so proud to have them be a part of this.”
