Wanted man involved in Wood County manhunt believed to have set fire, fled area

According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Stevenson and Shae Robinson were arrested but they have refused to give the identify of the man.

WOOD COUNTY, Texas — Officials believe the man who remains on the run set a wooded area on fire before fleeing from law enforcement in Wood County.

On Monday night, law enforcement agencies were searching in the area of County Road 3600. 

According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Stevenson and Shae Robinson were arrested but they have refused to give the identify of the man deputies are still looking for. 

As of 11 p.m. Monday, the sheriff's office said they believe the unknown man set a wooded area on fire, which was quickly extinguished by the Hawkins Fire Department. 

The sheriff's office also said he was likely picked up by a vehicle and is not in the area.
