SHERIFF: 1 person arrested after missing Deep East Texas girl found safe

Before she was found, the girl had been last seen on Feb. 10 on old FM 705, the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office reported.

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, Texas — A Deep East Texas man accused of harboring a runaway teen who has since been found safe was arrested.

Bradley LeBlanc, 24, of Jasper, is charged with burglary of a habitation and harboring a runaway in connection with the case of a missing girl, according to the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office.

The 15-year-old girl was found unharmed Wednesday, Feb. 21 after she had been reported missing on Feb. 10 on old FM 705, the sheriff's office said.

On Thursday, the sheriff's office revealed that through an investigation, deputies executed a search warrant for a location in Jasper and with help from local Jasper law enforcement and the US Marshal’s Office, the teen was found safe and LeBlanc was arrested.

LeBlanc was booked into the Jasper County Jail. He has known the girl's family for a few years but he is not blood related, San Augustine County Sheriff's Office Lt. David Haley said.

Haley said a firearm was found at the residence where Haley and the teen were located.
