PANOLA, Texas — Scott Surratt has become known for winning, and winning a lot.
The legendary Carthage High School football coach, who has guided the Bulldogs to nine state titles, dealt with two tragic losses this week — in less than a 24-hour span to be specific — and neither have to do with a football game.
Surratt lost a current player who was tragically killed in a fire and a former player who tragically died by drowning.
