TYLER, Texas — The 35th Annual CountryFest Saturday in downtown Lindale is expected to draw record crowds to the event.
"It will be entertainment and fun for the whole family," Shelbie Glover, President and CEO of Lindale Chamber of Commerce, said.
The event will include arts and crafts, games for kids, food and live entertainment.
CountryFest will kickoff at 8:30 Saturday morning with the Harvest Hustle 5K. The first 200 people to cross the finish line will receive a participation medal.
In 2017, the event saw more than 7,500 people attend.
"It was a phenomenal day. The weather was perfect, and we are anticipating the same for this Saturday," Glover said.
Glover says CountryFest continues to be a popular event because of its benefits to the city.
"It is important for the Chamber of Commerce to put on this event to bring guest to Lindale," Glover said. "To partner with the city and the tourism office to bring those guest to Lindale, but to also provide quality family entertainment."
CountryFest is free to attend and will wrap up at about 3:30 p.m.
