ARP, Texas — A section of County Road 294, east of Arp, is closed for repairs due to a washout caused by the recent severe weather.
On Thursday, April 11 Smith County Road and Bridge crews received a report that part of CR 294 had been washed away following the severe weather this week.
Smith County Engineer Frank Davis said he expects repairs to take about a week.
Road closed signs and barricades have been placed at the closure, located about 1.25 miles east of State Highway 135 in Arp, and drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
