TYLER, Texas — A popular cookie bakery known for its love among college students and late night hours is coming to Tyler soon.
Insomnia Cookies says on its website that the Tyler location will be "coming soon" to 3979 University Blvd Unit 400, which is across the street from UT Tyler. Some of the current businesses in that area include Enoch's Wine & Coffee House, Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken and Wings, Republic Icehouse and Pizza Hut.
The bakery began in 2003 inside the dorm room of University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz. The business started from his desire to have something sweet and warm delivered to his door. The first brick and mortar store opened in Syracuse, New York. In 2021, Insomnia opened its 200th shop.
