MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — One man has been arrested after failing to pull over and leading officers in a pursuit on Tuesday in Mount Pleasant.
According to the press release, Mount Pleasant police attempted to pull over a vehicle on 100 S. Lee Avenue for displaying a fake registration.
Officials were able to identify the driver as Eduardo Flores, 40, who fled the scene.
Following pursuit, officers began to add spike stripes after following him into the east side of Titus County even after Flores refused to surrender.
Requiring assistance from DPS, officers were able to perform a police intervention technique on Flores' vehicle on Highway 67, just east of FM 2348.
Once Flores was arrested, police determined his vehicle was stolen, according to the press release.
Flores has been booked into the Titus County Jail and is charged with evading arrest on a previous conviction, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and fictitious registration.
