DAINGERFIELD, Texas — One person is injured and police are searching for a suspect after a robbery in Daingerfield early Thursday morning.
According to the Daingerfield Police Department, officers responded to a call about a robbery and shooting around 1:15 a.m. Thursday at a local business parking lot. They found one person with a gunshot wound and immediate aid was administered until EMS arrived at the scene.
Officers were told the suspect was wearing a Nike ski-type mask and he was armed with a handgun. He ran from the scene on foot before officers arrived, police said.
Police believe a vehicle was involved in helping with suspect's escape, such as possibly picking him up after fleeing the parking lot.
