TYLER, Texas — A Tyler Police Department investigation regarding the shots fired incident at a Tyler restaurant's parking lot revealed the noise came from a blown transformer.
According to City of Tyler spokesperson LouAnn Campbell, further investigation revealed a transformer blew near Cheddar's causing the "shots fired" noise. Several TPD officers verified this, Campbell said.
Earlier Wednesday morning, officers were dispatched to a disturbance call at Cheddar's, where a caller reported a gun was shot after speaking to a person panhandling nearby, Campbell said.
Campbell confirmed no one saw a weapon and the caller did not see a gun being fired.
