CARTHAGE, Texas — The Carthage Police Department is investigating after officers found a man dead underneath a tow truck.
Officers responded to the scene of a crash involving an out-of-county tow truck and a passenger car on the 800 block of S. Adams Street on Thursday around 11:22 p.m. They found both vehicles involved unoccupied, and the apparent tow truck driver underneath the tow truck. He was found to be deceased on officer's arrival, Carthage P.D said.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is assisting CPD in reconstructing the scene of the crash. The incident is still under investigation, and the identity of the victim is currently being withheld until the family of the victim are notified.
