TYLER, Texas — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in North Tyler.
According to the Tyler Police Department, on Monday, Nov. 13, around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of E. Martin Luther King Blvd. and Haynie Ave.
When police arrived on scene, they found an injured man who was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The vehicle that hit the pedestrian left the scene. It is believed the suspect vehicle is a maroon or burgundy Yukon or Tahoe with likely front-end damage.
